One of the best breakfasts I have ever had was at the Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath...It started off with youghurt- they had mango or blackberry, then pre-soaked birchers museli with honey drizzled on the top..followed by a full English breakfast: Locally sourced high meat sausages, fresh organic fried eggs, crispy bacon, fried mushrooms, tomato and toast with lashings of organic butter! All the produce is sourced as locally as possible and it was just delicious!!

My perfect breakfast... i can't eat it everyday (cuz it would be my death) but maybe once a week is 3 eggs over med., 2 slices of bacon, 2 links of sausage, a mound of shredded hash browns, 4 slices of toast w/ two strawberry jelly (cuz i'd use the other two slices for the eggs), and two pancakes with peanut butter and maple syrup. THE BEST!
...and when i open my cafe its gonna be the special for 5 bucks!
with the options of bacon/ sausage or sausage patties... no HAM!!

Triple Chocolate Muffin from Wild Bean cafe at the BP garage.

Don't knock it until you've tried it. Best muffins EVER! Especially first thing when they are fresh and the chunks of chocolate are still gooey where they are warm. Mmmmm....

With all the current advice on healthy living I am pleased to say that I'd ignore all of it for my favourite breakfast (which incidentally I have about 3/4 times a year! unfortunately). Thick cut cured bacon with a golden crispy edge to it, two fried eggs with full runny yellow yolks, a few plump butchers own sausages, lightly fried field mushrooms with it's black juice slowly running down the plate, some of my uncle Les's tomatoes (assuming it's in the summer) which he grows himself and are so tasty (putting all supermarket varieties in shame) lightly fried, fried (in butter of course) potatoes, black pudding (which gives me awful heart burn but it's worth it) and plenty of bread and butter, and a steaming hot mug of tea. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Ambulance and indigestion tablets on stand by!!
But it's so worth it!!
