I think it is basically a mousse but i really dont know.

id say its more like a Sundae

French parfait: Frozen custard made with cream, and usually with a fruit puree.

Parfait is generally made with cream, fruit.nuts & flavoring also you can add a Liqueur try this one
1 cup of cream
2 tablespoons of castar sugar
1 tablespoon of your favorite tipple or flavoring
punnet fresh strawberries or any fresh fruit to your likeing
1/4 cup toasted almonds
1 combine the cream, sugar & your favorite tipple or flavoring
2 whip togther add the fresh fruit and put into tall glasses
when people use ice-cream it is called a sunade
