i've also seen Malabar Tamarind and Gorikapuli. I've come across a few references to brindle berry being useful for weight loss because it is high in hydoxycitrate, which supposedly inhibits fatty acid synthesis. It also is supposed to delay post meal glucose accumulation in the blood stream.
