How serious is a 1 cm gallstone? My doctor says it's very serious, but I only have 1 w/ no symptoms. Just wondering how concerned do I need to be.

In size, gallstones can be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a golf ball. A person can form one large stone in his or her gallbladder, or hundreds.

There are two types of gallstones: cholesterol and pigment stones. About 80 percent of all gallstones are cholesterol stones, yellow-green stones made up of hardened cholesterol.

You should go see your doctor and this is a serious disease
