I'm far away from friends or family and somehow have caught this nasty crap!!!! My child has it also. I can inspect my child, but not myself. I'm going nuts! I've used both RID and NIX. I've done 3 sessions (on the same day) with me and my child on at the same time within the last 2 weeks. I've washed all our linens, clothes ect.

Where can I go to get myself inspected? I'm SERIOUSLY on the verge of just shaving my head.

You can do a load of good work right now.

Forget about killing head lice, just think--REMOVE

If you have a fine comb and can locate some oil
like sweet almond, from a health food store, or
even sunflower from a food store you can do a lot
of good right now by removing any larger lice that
may be in the hair.

Don't use Vaseline, kerosene or mineral oils
they are awful to wash out and dangerous as
they can catch fire!

Just check before you start that the oil you have
will dissolve in your regular family shampoo by
rubbing bit of the oil on your fingers and then
washing with the shampoo.

Work a small amount of the oil into the roots of
the hair while it is dry and then comb gently with
the finest comb you can find.

You will get out an amazing mixture of rubbish
including big head lice and even some eggs.

10-15 minutes combing is fine. Just so long as you
round up all the big fat adult lice.

These are laying between 6 and 8 eggs, per day,

and are creating tomorrow’s lice. These will come

our very easily if you have them stuck in slippery oil.

Shampoo out the excess oil and chill out for a
couple of days then repeat the process.

You are harmlessly removing the lice that can and
will lay down more eggs so you have already started
to eradicate this population.

Don't be fooled by how simple and gently this is; it works!

This is going to sound strange but...... Dog shampoo the flee control kind. The fact of the matter is that flees are animal lice and the flee shampoo is cheaper safer and more effective than the the lice shampoos that are on the market for people (you must still use the little comb but you can buy more durable ones sepperate from the pacages, and make sure you each have a seperate one that you rinse every few strokes). When you treat yourself and your child make sure everyone else liveing with you or in close contact also treat themselves (this is vital). Also go get new pillows they can crawl inside them, and wash all of your cloths, hats, linens, stuffed animals, spray the beds your car......(everything matterial).

An extra tip treat yourselves first then wear a towel in your hair while you do all of this then treat yourself again, and continue using the little brush for a week after this. You may still get eggs and dieing lice out but it will eventualy go away like this.

Shaving your head may not be a bad option! After all, your hair will grow again and you could remove most of the infection at once. I am not sure at this point of time, but I remember to have read that Tea Tree Oil will remove such problem. I suggest that you look up in the net about the uses of Tea Tree Oil and see if lice is also covered. After writing that I did the checking for you and yes, here is the link to a good article on that.

If it works for the child it should work for you too. Good luck.

go to walmart and buy some "Rid-X shampoo", dont be alarmed. Im guessing your child brought it home from school. Before you use the RidX again, use a bug bomb in your house, or call an exterminator. If you've had it for 2 weeks, thats a long time for them to sneak into every corner of your house.

Be careful of eyes but you can use Dawn Dishwashing liquid to "smother" and vacate the beasts... leave it in for about 10 minutes. If it is safe on ducks you can bet it's safe on you if you keep it out of your eyes. Use on damp to wet(ish) hair, not soaking or dripping..if that doesnt work..you can most definitely go to any clinic and just tell the snobby nurse the reason for the visit would be Personal. Nosey people.
