We've been together for only 4 months. I won't be seeing him for one and a half year because he's moving to a different school far away this March 18th.

Long distance relationships are really hard, and the two of you are really too young to make truly long term commitments work. It's ok, it's just time to shake hands and say goodbye.

depends how far and how mature BOTH of you are and how willing/devoted you are to making it work out. i know a couple that lives very far away. shes in texas and hes in new jersy. but then again shes 19 and he's 18.. so i dunno. and if you have parents helping you with transportation thats good. but can you trust each other? long distance relationships take a lot of trust. it can work out but you gotta put up with a lot of pain from not seeing each other when you want. how are you gonna feel when you're down and he can't be there to hold you? think everything over a lot. you've only been dating for 4 months. do you see yourself loving him for a long time?
the key is communication. its not the distance that wrecks a lot of long distance relationships ..it's the lack of communication. you have to tell each other how you feel and such.
if it's farther than 4 hours you should just break up. i just thought about it and yeah at 16 you shouldn't worry this much about a relationship. lol focus on school. you'll be happier

Oh hunny you are way too young to be doing something like that, there is no reason why you two still cant talk and be close to each but don't even try for a long distance relationship at 16 your young you have a lot of life to live, lot of partying to do, lot of fun to be had!! Don't need to be stressing out about your boyfriend being so far away!!

march 18 is my one year with my bf, who is long distance btw. bot at your age and the circumstances behind it, just let him go. if its meant to be, it will be.

try to cool-off for one and a half year then when he comes back and you guys still like each other, go back together! :)

At this age I doubt it, but techincally, you never know.
Just don't hold your breath! Make sure you date other people because at this age its important.
