The whole idea of God's forgiveness derives from the fact that one is truely sorry for what they did and that when they did it, they were not fully aware of the consequences. If she said that "oh God forgives" that is NOT the correct way- at all.
Look at it this way... if you were planning on robing a bank, and before you did it, you said, "it'll be ok, God is forgiving so I'll just go rob this bank and ask for forgiveness afterwards", does that make it ok?
Abortion is terrible. But this topic is so hot that you'll get many different, and opinionated answers. I think that she should have the child and place him/her up for adoption, that way it is not being killed, and it can actually live its life. It was her responsibility and she chose to get pregnant (unless she was raped but I do not beleive that is the case with this situation), so she needs to take responsibility and give this child a life not murder it.
Of course, this is all just my opinion.

We make our own choices. What God does is not forgiveness it is a lesson. All part of the theory of equilibrium. All things must be equal in the universe what god does is he studies the ways in which we achieve equilibrium.
If that person gets an abortion equilibrium must be maintained. And since she is not allowing that new life to reach equilibrium she will have to learn from this and reach equilibrium with this new knowledge in order to compensate for the abortion.
Oh and a little tip about abortions, dont do it. It's a waste of time and money. Just give the baby up for adoption, it's a lot easier then having to go through all that legal and medical bs.

Only God can judge her. Yes, she should have been more careful with birth control and condoms, but it's HER LIFE and HER BODY. If she's not in a place to take on the responsibility of raising a child she has the option of getting an abortion.
Someone who "knows" abortion is wrong can probably expect alot of guilt. Whatever her choice is try to be supportive.

I really shouldn't touch this question because I don't believe in God and I favor a woman's right to an abortion. But here's my thought. Her decision on whether or not to have an abortion should be based on her health, the health of the fetus, and her ability to take care of herself and a baby. The fact that she's even considering an abortion, let alone justifying it by saying God will forgive her, says to me that she shouldn't even be considering religion in her decision.

I have a hard time on this subject however,,,,if she truly feels she cannot go through a pregnancy---cannot give the baby to a good home....has personal reasons why she cannot carry this baby to term and give it up---then who are we as human beings to judge her...she has the right to decide what is best for her...
however...in the future she should get on birth control if she doesnt want this to happen again...abortion is not a "birth control" method....
it is no bodies position to be judge and jury in a friends abortion case.....she must live with that decision and the reasons behind it...

It all depends on the situation and the rationale behind this option. If this is a convenient form of birth control because someone was careless, I think that God would take a very dim view of that. If, on the other hand, there's no way to carry the baby to term without ruining the mother's life, well, God wouldn't want that either.

Well, Lets see. Thats not God fault that she/who ever open her legs. God forgives for your mistakes but you want to kill it? You already made a mistake. Dont make another. Sweatie. You never know if your mom thinks its wrong. Then thats a good thing. Some other girls parents dont want to have to deal with any of it. They could care less.

This is typical of people who want to justify their actions. Either you believe in God or you don't. If you do then find out the true feelings of your particular branch of religion to your proposal. However don't confuse religious teachings with the word of God,the two are not necessarily the same. At the end of the day you have to do what you feel is right for you, and in this case the best for your unborn baby.

God is forgiving.. true
but not when it affects someone else's life
i know im not god to take his position and say whether or not he will forgive
but the mom is killing an innocent child and god will never forget how she mistreated him he will never leave the child and abonden him the way she did
what she doing is immoral and cruel
and the way she thinks..
i dotn think she really cares about God..

That"s not good, she must not do it. If she's saying that God forgives and will forgive her for killing her baby then it is good as saying that it is alright to commit mistakes and sins over and over again because God will forgive us.
