What's wrong with Vista? I know upgrading isn't a big reason to go to Vista, but downgrading? You're weird.

Yes.
You will need the XP installation CD & a valid key.
You will need to erase everthing already on the C drive in order to install XP.
Place the XP CD in the drive & restart the PC.
It will give you the option to foramt the hard drive.
Choose yes.
Easy going from there.

Sure. The only thing that you might run into is that some of the hardware on the new machine may not have drivers in XP. You might have to go to the manufacturer's site and download XP drivers for that model.

in case you got the computing device with vista on it then no that's no longer a tribulation, that's yours to maintain for that computing gadget. with a view to get domicile windows xp onto the computing device, you will desire to first have an domicile windows xp CD, no longer isn't an aftermarket CD (one that got here with yet another computing gadget). you will desire to have one which you got for the shop and has no longer been activated on yet another computing gadget. Then on the hot computing gadget, you will desire to format it, dropping all archives, then you definately would desire to be waiting to place in XP.

The CD won't install if you run it from Vista...you'll need to boot from the CD.

No problem at all.
I think it is a little early to be so sure you do not want Vista.

yep
If you don't know how to, I suggest taking it to a PC store. If you are bound and determined to try, just put the cd and it walks you through step by step.
