Do you think it is only a few years away or a long way off. I hope it is a long way of so we do not have to go through the horrible persicution of the world dictator. I hope to be dead and in Heaven by then. I hope the tribulation will be in another 70 years plus, although it may be sooner. If I am dead and in Heaven them I will not have to go through the horrible tribulation as that will be for the people who are still alive at the time, and it will frighten them to the point they have never been frightend before. It will be the scariest time next be the real hell, although the real hell is one billion times worse. Christians do you hope to die before then? I may get hit by a bus like I have almost done before, or die of cancer, or get shot, or in a car accident or something or die in my sleep, and if I do, awsome. So do you wish to be in Heaven by then of go through the tribulation? As I said before the tribulation may come in another 100 years, and I will not even be here

thank goodness. Scientists are saying in another 100 years the temprature will increase by 8 degress celsius and that half of the world will be going through famine like never before and that most of the world will perish. I will not be here in 100 years. This world will not last more than 100-200 years.

When the antichrist rules the world and when a great apostasy is taking place.

i have never understood the basic premise that the "tribulation" will only last 7 years, when seeing that i have been suffering tribulation for the last 20 years. if not ONLY ten years.
tribulation does not stop until a person dies.
While the doctrine of the RAPTURE was the direct teaching that persuaded me to want to believe in a better life, i came to the REAL LIFE conclusion that I would rather pray to die on a daily basis then endure to the end. This life is not just a tribulation for me, it is torture, terrorism, and LONGsuffering without end.
Even if I call upon God in prayer, there is no End to the ways that Evil people can choose to torture a believer. Even as a witness of Jesus christ that i am.

Most of what you are reading in the responses are premillenial views: the view that Christ's return will usher in a future millennium of Messianic rule mentioned in the book of Revelation before the final judgment. The believers of this doctrine also hold to the notion of a Rapture of the righteous beforehand.

This is a popular belief, but there are others that can be substantiated by the bible. We are probably going through the tribulation period now. When it started is speculative, when it ends the final judgment of everyone occurs. Some sects, such as the folks over at http://worldwide.familyradio.org believe the final judgment will be upon us sometime in mid-2007!

I personally believe that the Tribulation will begin within the next 5 or 10 years, if it hasn't already.

The United Nations is weak, Russia is secretly backing Iran in the whole Iraq war deal, and Russia and Iran both hate Israel. Basically, all that has to happen is Israel needs to be completely and totally ransacked one more time, then Antichrist's identity will be revealed. Theologians and educated Christian scholars speculate that Antichrist will come from somewhere in Europe or the Middle East. The formation of the European Union will make things a little easier for the Antichrist to take power, and then we're all out of luck. Best of luck to you.

The book of I Thessalonians says that "the dead in His name will ascend first" when it happens, and then "the living too will be raptured". So those who believe now will be spared from the tribulaton.

Don't believe? Haven't received Christ as your Savior? It's not too late. Read the book of John and then pray a prayer similar to this: "Dear God, I'm a sinner. I can't go on without You. I acknowledge that You sent Your Son to be crucified for my sins and save me from hell. Let me die to my sins and rise with Him. I thank You and I love You Lord. Here is my life. Take it. You're in control now. I am here to serve You, God. In your name. Amen." Catch is, you have to mean this prayer.

Hope this helps.
--Jake
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

That is really sad....

The tribulation is a time of joy for Christians. It is the end of this system and Satan's influence on people. God will protect his people. He has promised that. We may suffer but he has promised our lives. Going to heaven, well only a few people will be in heaven, God will continue his plan to populate the earth, so there will be persons to live through the tribulation.

I hope that it comes today, all in the hope that all persons have had an opportunity to decide to serve God. That is a day that God (YHWH or Jehovah) will vindicate his name, and prove he is the only one to rule over us.

each and every little thing is basically commencing as much as fall into place. Tribulation has no longer yet began; we are making waiting for it. As for the information, examine the a number of prophetic books like Malachi. And for the very end, turn to Revelation. yet, the rapture is earlier tribulation. Pity, however, I will by no potential be right here to witness it. Will you?

The Israeli~Palestian Conflict is really getting to that point; where the 7 yr/ peace treaty could occur at any time. We, as Christians; need to keep out attn on ISRAEL....for it is the Lord's time piece. What occurs there, ripples to the entire earth.

Some adventurous Xians find that living thru the Trib. will be exciting, in the essence of KNOWING for years that all that will occur would come to pass;
NOT ME...I have four young children, Im on the verge of disability due to severe back trauma. I can barely live the day to day....But must learn to focus more on trusting HIM to protect us.
I firmly believe that the APOSTASY HAS BEGUN.....and this is the beginning of the end. Jesus said that b4 all the wars and rumors of wars, "natural disasters" and what not; that it will all be preceded by FIRST: the falling AWAY of the Church (better realized as THE BODY OF CHRIST>.....BELIEVERS). Look around, it is not hard to see that the many polls taken have proven such......"not all who call unto ME, Lord, Lord; will enter into the kingdom of heaven.........depart from Me, I never KNEW U!"
Some 86% claim Christ, yet last time I checked....60+ of those did not believe JESUS WAS ACTUALLY SINLESS.,...nor did they believe the WORD of GOD to be 100% INFALLIBLE which leads us to another scripture;;;;\
"Wide is the path that leads unto death; str8 is the gate and narrow is the way that leads unto life"
not many will ever come near that narrow way;;;;;;;That is why HE admonishes us all to "work out our OWN salvation with fear and trembling".......HE DOES NOT WANT ANYONE TO GO WAYSIDE> BUT FREEWILL IS THERE< AND HE LOVED US ALL THE MORE FOR GIVING US SUCH FREEDOM. We chose, thru personal trials and tribulations, to stay FAITHFUL to HIM in good times and bad.
2 Timothy tells us that the LORD DOES NOT GIVE S THE SPIRIT OF FEAR.........I think you and I both need to focus more on this, and remember......\\\
"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof"
Let tomorrow worry about itself; you, me and the rest of us...---CANNOT STOP THE TRIBULATION.

At any given time some people are in tribulation and others are not. At any given time some people are persecuted by dictators. It's always been so. The elaborate end times scenarios you're talking about are nothing but scary bedtime stories invented by false prophets.

I would actually want to go through the Tribulation Period to prove my worthiness to my Lord. I have had several discussions with people who think I'm nuts, but I believe that it would be an honor to die for my beliefs.

According to the bible, christians won't go through the tribulation, only non-christians. Those who are persecuted are the ones who accept christ after the rapture. So you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
