Take the stairs, eat healthy (don't deprive yourself, indulge in your favorite fruits often, and try to make little changes), take a gym elective if you have space for it. Otherwise, concentrate on school, and worry about losing weight once you've got the important stuff done. But even a once a week yoga class can make a big difference for some people.

I too have a hard time finding time but here are a few things that worked for me. A diet isn't bad if you know what to change about what you eat. Don't go get that "fat free", "sugar free", etc.... stuff. Swap out your normal white bread with whole grain wheat and choose leaner cuts of meat. So still eat the hamburger just use wheat buns and a leaner meat. Also eat more fruit and vegetables. Not all those yucky varieties. Grab an apple instead of a candy bar for a snack. It takes more calories to eat and digest an apple than what it actually has. Also eat smaller portions more often. I usually eat a small breakfast lunch and dinner but have substantial snacks between each so that I never go over 3 hours awake with out eating. It keeps my metabolism up and it helps me to stay energized. As far as exercise is concerned, you have to get innovative on exercise. Studying on a stationary bike or putting together a 30min exercise routine whether at the gym or calisthenics and running reap huge benefits. Remember with the exercise half of it CONSISTENCY is the key. It is better to walk 2miles per day five days a week than to run 10 once a week. (I know that's a bit drastic but you get the point) If you do a decent work out 30min per day 5 days a week and make adjustments to eating habits you see a steady drop in you pounds and am increase in tone.

Nourish your body thin, instead of starving your body fat. Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Salt has no calories but makes you fat and burning more calories does not help this fatness.

Make mini changes in your diet and exercise slightly more. Drink diet drinks, cut out a candy bar, wherever you can, alter your eating. Park far away at the grocery store to walk farther, set aside 20 minutes on the treadmill, it isn't so hard, just DO IT.

Yet another questioner asking how to lose weight!! You all know the answer - good diet and sufficient excercise. Your problem is not being overweight - it is not having the guts or willpower to do what is necessary. Get a hold of yourselves those of you who believe that you are overweight - you know the answer so don't ask the question.
