I am interested in this guy, I'm pretty sure he knows I am. My friends all agree he seems interested in me, too, but he says he has "complicated issues" going on in his life right now and works 15 hours a day to keep his mind of things so he has no time to date. Valentine's Day is coming up soon and I want to get him something. Do you think it would be okay to give him a single rose? What color?

Give him a yellow long-stemmed rose, just ONE. Tell him on your card "I just happened to think of you today, & since it's Valentine's Day, I wanted to be a part of it. Happy Valentine's Day, your friend, so & so."

By the way, for those who think you shouldn't give a man a rose, I gave one to a man & said "I am my beloved's & he's mine." He couldn't believe it. He said to me "You never cease to amaze me." Go figure.

Giving a man flowers is very nice. The few times I have ever done it - they have been so touched. I think a single rose is a great idea. I would say any color is fine... but some of the blue and lavender roses are perhaps a bit more masculine? Have fun!

I think that that is a good idea. Movie tickets would be a good addition to that. I think that if you know a movie that he wants to see is comming out, get two tickets for it & have hime see it with you.

I'm not sure how other men feel about roses however I wouldn't frown upon such a jesture. I think that that is a very sweet idea. It's up to you what color that you'd be getting.

Talking to him might help you out, because comunication is one of the greastest helps in a any relationship.

Hope this helps.

yes i think it would be great to get a rose from a woman, a real man can appreciate the beauty and the sentiment involved in giving and receiving flowers. but then again my friends think i'm too sensitive sometimes. i tell them that's because i'm half woman (my mother was a woman).my only worry for you is what the issues may be,you know like a wife and kids. good luck!

I don't think anything is wrong with the rose but i doubt he will cherish it like girls do. I don't know what he can do with a rose, maybe you can give him a card or something. Good luck

Not a rose. That's weird for a man to get that. Depending on how long you date him. Long term then buy a gold bracelet.

I don't know how many guys would feel about this. I wouldn't mind, its still a testament that you like me. But you could find some more about him, and get him something that represents his hobbies, or stuff he likes.

Try something else, like candy. Nice thought by the way.
