yes with the right equipment ,which is totally illegal !!!!!!!!!!
there are radio scanners for sale in japan that have that feature to scan the cell phone band

I am sure that people CAN intercept cell phones, but I don't believe that people would. Unless they had a reason. I know that signals can get crossed. It has happened to me twice before. You try calling someone, at the same time another person is calling, and you end up getting their friends voice mail... It's pretty wierd. :)

yes people can intercept your cellphone conversations, especially in the old days before they were encrypted. as to how they do it now? not sure but I'm pretty sure it can be done by some laypeople. government can certainly do it. look at how the CIA did with the terrorists. thats why they buy those prepaid phones now. something should be done about those.

Yeah. There is a thing called wire tapping. And there are devices that can detect that. Even your network provider may track your calls right?

ye they can..my ex had a device and could track me on my phone..he could hear everything i was telling my sister...lol..he heard all the crap i told her about him...serves him right....after all...LISTENERS HEAR NO GOOD OF THEMSELVES
