traditional gift for 1st anniv. is paper. So thats books , magazine , maybe jigsawpuzzle or board game or anything paper. Maybe a photo.
Modern gift says clock , so a watch or clock.
Anything really that he would enjoy. If its something that reminds him of your wedding or something you did before that , then that works too.

I gave my guy tickets to a sporting event (we both went). If your guys likes sports, try that. Or try travel tickets to someplace you can go for a mini second honeymoon--weekend get away.

I like customized calendars where you get to put your pics (honeymoon, for example). Shutterfly and Zazzle.com have really cool ones.
