I grew up christian and have grown up and now totally hate the thought of god. I mean if all this stuff is happening in the world then why would he do anything, i mean there are so many times i just wanted to give up on life because there just isnt hope, this world is full of corruption and pain. No one truly cares about one another, but only about themselves. We have one life and why waste it worshipping a god that doesnt care for us. ive read every religion out there and its all false hope, a saftey blanket for old people to fall back onto. I mean go to church one time and what will you see kids forced to go and old people about to die or goody goodies that pretend to be all "christian" and they are really hipocrites on the outside of the church.

Welcome to the truth. The path to enlightenment can be hard. I was a victim of Jesus Camp as a child. That was hard to get over. But now I am a happy atheist. So cheer up and enjoy life ;-)

Give up on life does not give any solutions to anybody and people after you will follow the same path as yours.....before going ahead, I have a few Questions for you

-It doesn't matter that you grew up a christian, what matters is that have you been grown up in a Healthy atmosphere(Spiritually)

-What has been your behaviour to poor people?

-Have you ever helped anybody without even thinking about any favour?

-Have you ever tried to think about the root cause of the problems you've quoted above?

If you can answer all these and your answers are affirmative, I will say that you are just loosing hopes which you should not do because God is there and he helps us when we are in need....If any of your answer is negative then I would advise you to reanalyse your innerself and try to see how much do you understand about the society, religion and God.

God Bless you and may all your problems be vanished

Because He is so worthy of our praise.

don't look at the storm around you.
Keep your eyes on Jesus and you will not sink.

May God send someone on your path as He did on mine.
I grew up with a dad that felt the same way you do.
So I grew up hating God and religion.

But since coming to know Jesus personally, (not just knowing about Him).
I love Him with all my heart.

So the reason why I Praise God is because He saved me.
He turned my life around.
He gives me hope, peace and love.

1) He is worthy of my praise.

2) Isa 61:3.
Put on the garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness.
When I'm down or worried.

3) It's a wonderful tool in spiritual warfare.

Blessings.
Hope you get to know Jesus as your personal Lord.

Where is goodness? Where is love and compassion?
When I look at the world and the people in it I see none of these things.

Do I believe in God?

I believe in Good.
I believe in the goodness and love that is supposed to be in this world but is nowhere to be found.
I believe in working to bring more goodness into the world.
If you are appalled at the state of the world then the answer is not to give up but to work to make things better.
If you believe goodness should exist then do your part to make it exist.
When you ask questions about God and humanity, don't forget to ask questions about yourself.
You can't change the world but you can change yourself.
If you're unwilling to do that, then you are contributing to the problem.

We praise God because he is an insecure deity (yeah, Earth got stuck with all the reject stuff).

God's power is tied to the number of beings that he can coerce into praising him, the number of virgins sacrificed to him, the number of non believers killed in his name, the number of people unjustly called to repentance by his zealous followers, the number of neighbors marginalized by his smug "holier-than-thou" children, etc.

That's why this battle between the Atheists and the followers of God is so important! God NEEDS popularity! The more who believe (or are forced to believe), the truer he becomes!
