The answer to your question is: EVERYTHING.
Not only the repairs to her car, but also the repairs of the other person's vehicle.
If she can't pay, she will more than likely be sued by the person she hit. A lawyer will get involved and go after your daughter for all the repair of the other vehicle, and if the lawyer is worth his weight in salt, will also add moneys lost from work due to the accident (if there were any injuries or loss of work time).
The bottom line is: A lot of people (me included) work day by day and paycheck to paycheck, and we all have to do what we need to do. This means PAYING for insurance. It's illegal not to have it. Sometimes people do things when they know it's wrong and then when the sh*t hits the fan they don't understand WHY.

Um.. NO.. she doesnt just pay excess. She is legally responsible for all the other parties repair cost, and rental. She is also responsible for a portion (if not all) of the other drivers medical expenses. Insurance doesnt seem like such a bad idea now does it?!
Why would you only have to pay her deductible? So your telling me other law abiding citizens should have to use their own policy b/c of your mistake?
btw.. if she doesnt pay the other insurance company back... expect years of bad credit and garnished wages.. not a good way to enter the real world after school

In the USA she would be legally responsible for the other drivers propery and medical expenses. The other party could sue her and get a judgement which would hurt her credit if left unpaid. Worse, it the other party's insurance pays, their insurance company could get a lawyer and sue her.
In reality, that rarely happens. Usually the uninsured motorists biggest problem is loosing their license for a year, which happens gere when you are caught driving uninsured. Sometimes you will be cited by the police and have to pay a fine as well.

She has to pay the entire bill for both vehicles, with no insurance who else is going to foot the bill? If she doesn't do so voluntarily she will be sued and you can add court costs on top of everything else. I know she is only 18 but if you are old enough to have a license you are old enough to understand the consequenses of driving without insurance.

the fact that your daughter is a pupil would not rely. the fact that your daughter is eighteen would not rely. the fact which you daughter would not have a job would not rely. if your daughter led to the twist of destiny, she would be able to could desire to pay for the great value of the different driving force's damages (plus any medical expenditures if there is an harm). If the different driving force led to the twist of destiny, then the different driving force pays for their very own damages besides because of the fact the damages to the motor vehicle your daughter became making use of. if your daughter is dependable and presently no longer able to pay, the different celebration can get a judgement to attach her destiny wages, garnish her economic business enterprise account, and place a checklist in her credit record. if your daughter is dependable and he or she would not pay, and you very own the motor vehicle, then you definately could be answerable for the damages besides.

She has to pay to repair their car. Her best bet would be if they have uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance. Then they would just file a claim with their insurance company and that would be that (except that your daughter might lose her license or have her car impounded.)
Here is the kicker, if the car is registered to you, they could sue you and make you pay.
Good luck.

Not having insurance first of all, is highly illegal. It means people like you, who dont pay for it, can really screw over the good guys who pay for it and end up seriously injured. She's going to have to find some way to fork over the money. That was really smart of her/you.

Did she pay the uninsured motors fee at the DMV? Legally she'll have to pay out of pocket for all damages and or injures. Also she'll have more problems if she didn't pay the uninsured motors fee.
