How does a guy know which way to part his hair?

Part your hair the direction it grows in. If it tends to go left, part it left. If it tends to go right, part it right. Whatever looks better.

Just do what your hair naturally does. I love it when guys hair dint look like they put a pound of gel in it and make it do things that peoples hair shouldn't do! I say you should just let it part its self and just comb it some if you have to.

It may help not to part it, and comb it back? Worked for me.
