Recently, the oldest person (woman) alive DID die, and now the oldest living person is a woman in Connecticut. Of course this person is living, that's part of being the oldest person alive. She's 114 years old.
Apparently, that's changed since I last checked, too. It's now a woman in Japan, but she's 114 also.

Well, the oldest person alive is in Japan as the last one just dies a few weeks ago. I beleive that she is 114 and coincidentally the oldest man alive is also in Japan.
The oldest woman, who just died, was in Connceticut (I think) and her parents were slaves back in the day. Pretty cool, huh? That's history that's alive!!!!
Hope this answered your question.

Well..if the person was alive, then she wouldnt be dead. I dont think they have announced the oldest person alive since the death of a woman from CT who was 114.
