I can respectfully say that I don't need to worry about that, because all I have to do is look to how Islam was designed. It came from a violent and perverse man known as Mohammed who clearly designed a religion of political control. Jihad is certainly a tenant of the Islamic faith, but the key is that it doesn't have to be popular to work, as is demonstrated by the present situation in Iraq. Many of Islam's tenants proclaim peace, but that's simply a front to make the religion seem benevolent.

Furthermore, when a religion becomes works-based, it presumes that you can become a better person. All you can do is reorient your view on the world, and you may make better decisions based on that, but that doesn't make you any better at the core.

You'll find contradiction in both the Bible and the Quran, if you look for them. Islam isn't really that much different than Christianity. The only reason that people of either religion believe that the "other" religion is a lot different is because they want to belong to the group that is right so that they can feel justified in believing that everyone else is wrong... I'm not talking about enlightened Muslims or Christians, of course, just the majority of the people in these religions. Definitely learn Arabic, though. It is a beautiful language. Modern Standard Arabic is the way to go. It is basically the Arabic of the Quran with more modern terms added to it. It is also the Arabic used in popular literature and in the media. Every region has it's own Arabic, but MSA is the best place to start. Read up on Islam. Start working with the Five Pillars, praying five times a day and all that good stuff. You can buy an alarm clock, if you want, that will sound off the call to prayer at the proper times. Also, go to the local mosque and begin interacting with other Muslims. Immerse yourself.... and to become a Muslim, all you have to do is say, "There is no God but God, and Muhammed is the prophet of God." and mean it in your heart. For it to be official, though, you will need at least two other Muslims present to witness this. I don't remember what the "proper" Arabic way of saying this is at the moment, so I am not going to translate it. Also, personally I like Abdullah Yusuf Ali's translation of the Quran the best so far... I have a copy that has the Arabic, the Romanization of the Arabic, and the English translation in it. It makes things a little bit easier.

The number of Muslims will not increase nor decrease (as religion is usually determined by one's upbringing).

As far as the afterlife.

I doubt God will care.

If he does and actually damns billions of people to eternal death due to their inability to be born into an Arab family, then I wan't nothing to do with such a God and will be more than happy burning in hell.

I re-read the answers to this and i must say that there are many uneducated people running around here

If Islam is indeed wrong...completly and utterly wrong..if everything in the Quran is wrong, so is Judiasm, Chrisitianity, Siekism, Jainism, and so many other countless religions either derived from or impacted from Islam. Whether you like it or not, the world has been impacted forever in a positive way BY Islam. Id like to make sure everyone knows WHAT islam teaches.

Islam teaches to be good people, pray, and give to charity. If you want to say islam is violent, you are not looking INTO islam. Where in islam does it say kill people? Where does it say any of the things people are saying here? Islam preaches peace and "jihad" means struggle it has only been used for the jihad term we now know because of people using it around the world in personal vendettas. Alot of things may be done BY muslims but not from ISLAM. Do not confuse. Also if you want to say that and you are Christian look at your own religion. Christianity is a very peaceful religion but MILLIONS of more lives have been taken in the name of christianity. And no im not just talking about the crusades...although raping, killing, murdering, plundering, all done by the explicit order of the pope leader of christianity at the time was done. Im talking about Iraq where over 1 MILLION women and children (im not talking about men) were killed by christian people from sanctions more then war, im talking about the balkans where hundreds of thousands of muslims were killed soley based on the fact they were muslim, im talking about an ENTIRE race of people completely butchered in america and south america all in the NAME of christianity (native americans). The entire WORLD has been plundered by the christian nations. Where have muslims commited such atrocities? By sheer number Christianity exploitation of Africa, india, the middle east, THE AMERICAS, china, and everywhere else can be seen. But that is done IN THE NAME of christinaity. where in the Bible does it say rape and pillage, does it say conquer and kill, does it say steal and plunder. NO WHERE. Just as many things have been done by christians, many things have been done by muslims. That does not mean the RELIGION preaches it.

Think before you speak, back up what you can say with facts.

it depends on how we find out it's not fake. if the mahdi or whatever comes back, then i would say major changes in many people, christians just claiming he's their messiah and expecting everyone else to change. if we find out when we die, i believe it says hell "might become of us", but it would obviously be too late to affect many results other than the burning and stuff.
