She just broke up with the boyfriend.She's not happy with life in general.But now she's telling me don't get to comfortable On My Own Couch. Come straight home from work and don't forget the candy bars on the way home.What's really going on here.

Sounds like she is taking advantage of you and your goodwill to let her move back. Stop it know and set down some rules about how she needs to help out around the house and that this is only temporary. Also start to charge her rent and her portion of the utilities. Tell she is not getting a freebie on this one since she has been out on her own already.

Make her pay you in chores for her time at home. Shes old enough to pay her way. Dishes, general cleaning, errands, cooking, etc. She's 22. She needs to keep moving. Rocks that keep rollin' gather no moss and all that. If motivating her to make great big life decisions and moves is too much, keep her moving on the small stuff. A lot of people in their 20s have a really hard transition to being independent. So if you want to, welcome her home, but expect a lot from her. She doesn't deserve any less.

Maybe she will stay home for a while until she is ready to settle down. Look at it this way she is willing to work.

It sounds like she is trying to take over your home. Sounds like she needs to be given a time table to leave the nest.. Just my opinion
