I'm flying to Norfolk, VA from there and wanted to know if I had that option (since I am using Northwest's online flight check-in feature). I don't want to have to go through the trouble of checking in for my flight online and still having to go to the counter to check my bag.

You can check in online but you still have to go to the ticket counter to check in your bags. They only print out bag tag's for checked luggage at the ticket counter and they also have to weigh your bag.
