Why do people say ghosts exist, if ghosts are dead people and still here around us then the only reason why we can’t see them is becuz they exist in different dimension?

I am not talking about the three dimensions I am asking about the possibility of hidden dimensions, if you ever heard of the 4th dimension, even scientists are still arguing if the 4th dimension is spatial or time itself but they all agree in the possibility of it’s existence. It is hard to see beyond what is physical and trying to define these dimensions with the same geometry of our three dimensional physical universe might be where the problem is, like I see it in your case

Death has been wrongly interpreted during the infancy of humanity as non existence. There are many things in our modern world that we can not see or touch but in which we believe. Gravity, waves, etc.. are classical examples
All of us had to die before being born into this physical world. So we all, without exception, come from another world totally different from the physical world in which we live now.
This is an irrefutable truth independent of our personal beliefs.
We had to die to the "womb world" in order to be born into the physical world.
Death is a relative word that means change. We go from one dimension of existence into a higher form of existence. Or in a symbolic language from one world to a higher world. At each transition we have to change, or die, in the ordinary language.
People who cease to have a physical existence continue to live but in a higher dimension, unknown to us for a very good reason.
That good reason can be the subject of a whole new question.
This may sound too complex or esoteric but it is simple and an example will clarify it.
When we were in the womb of our mother we were in another world. We were living in a physiological world. It was completely different from this physical world.
When we abandoned the womb world (died to the womb world) and were born into the physical world, we didn't "go" to any other place. We stayed in the same place. We came into a new and higher dimension of existence, the physical world.
Similarly when we abandon the physical world we continue our existence in a more evolved or higher dimension that is not physical but spiritual.
So the next world is not a "place" where we will be going to. It is here. But in another dimension unknown to us, just as the physical world was unknown to the fetus.
Death does not exist even in the physical sense because all the atoms of our body continue to exist in some other form
Now the purpose of the physiological world -the womb world- was to develop eyes, ears, lungs, feet, hands and brains that were of no use in that environment. Their necessity became apparent in the following world, this physical world.
The purpose of the physical world in which we live now, is to develop moral virtues and to put them to the service of mankind. The usefulness of the effort of polishing our character and acquiring moral virtues will become apparent in the other dimensions of life which are not material but spiritual because progress continues in all the worlds and is not limited to this physical world.

A dimension is a scientific explanation to a mathematical concept.

Ghosts are not scientific... hence you can not conclusively say that they are "one a different dimension".

There are 3 known dimensions:

With respect to art:

A Dot

A picture on a single plane (technically two planes).

A 3D picture on a dual plane (technically three planes).

Think about it for a second:

You are arguing that we "can't see ghosts because they exist on a different dimension".

We live in a Three Dimension world, yet we can still see things that are in the second dimension only.

You're argument needs some fine tuning my friend.

Sorry.

There is a slight difference in my opinion, I agree that death is nothing but a change in dimension, but then our energy that resides within us, when we are alive, gets dissolved into the atmosphere and that is how the matter changes its dimensions. There is no existance of Ghosts but it is the changed form of energy that sometimes appear as something mystic.

I was about to answer your question, but then decided to browse through other people's answers. the Usernames: 'MyPreshus'
'God is one with many names' and 'carole' have answered it already in the best way i could imagine. To all those who do not believe in ghosts, know that they can and have been detected by supersensitive equipment. (Read a book by Michael Cors).
There have been many encounters with the other world. Some people (called psychics) can sense and see the ghosts without any technological help.
PS. When you leave your body, you are perceived as a ghost by people who still are in the body. So in one way or another, we will all be ghosts.

Yes. Death is only to the physical body. The soul is eternal and never ceases to exist. Ghosts are not "dead people", they are the spirits of the souls which have left their "dead body". When the spirit of the soul departs the body, they generally go to the astral plane, but often have unresolved issues here on the physical plane and cannot let go, therefore continue to exist in the form of spirit on the physical plane.

Here's my thinking...

Think of death as a pool. When you jump into the pool, the idea is to swim to the drain. But what if you're pushed in, or you jumped in because you just wanted to get out the dryness? The natural reaction would be to come up gasping. But you can't get out of the pool once your in - sorry. But your too afraid to swim down to the drain, too. In fact, the more you tread water, the more frightening it gets.

Guess that's called 'treading dimensions'...sounds goofy, but a little ghostly too!

A ghost is intent imprisoned in perpetuity. In repetition of intent.Spend a few nights sleeping in a cemetery.Only some of them are ghost. Some are content. Some still wait. Some are aware.Only the living can be all these things.Take care in the way you are because you are all things.

As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones. Bhagavad-gita(2.22)

Soul is encaged in two coverings, one is gross body, made of five gross material elements and second is the subtle body made up of three subltle elements(mind, intelligence and false ego

At death, one leaves behind the old useless body and accepts a new fresh body just as one throws away a new body and happily adorns a new fancy dress.

In the case of ghosts, they don't get a new body due to sudden accidents or suicide and not regular death. They only have the subtle body and therefore they haunt others to enter their body.

What do you mean by dimension. Only type of dimension that I know of is length, height, width. Thats what dimension means. ghosts are spirits and that is considered a spiritual world or realm. It can't be measured.
