God created angels, Lucifer (the devil) and one third of the angels fell when Lucifer told the first lie,(that we could be as God, right in God's very own face) and they were cast out of heaven. The devil (Lucifer) is a creation of God that turned against God by choice. When the fell they fell permanently with no hope of redemption, not ever. When man fell the rest of us were not there that is why we have a chance.

Many times religion stumbles over its own beliefs. Christianity claims that the devil was a fallen angel. But an angel who doesn't have a collection basket has equal power with God, as God doesn't have the power to erase this guy. Religion loves people who don't think.

It's not dualistic because Lucifer, who became Satan by his own actions, was a created being not even remotely as powerful as God.He was created perfect, but Chose to go bad.He tried to pull a coup on God's throne and God flicked him down to Earth with his finger.Michael a "Good" angel battles Satan on and off and Satan can not beat him,how could he be equal to God.

If you'll recall in scripture, Satan was, at one time, the most beautiful of angels in Heaven. He was a servant of God. Pride got into the heart of Satan, and he wanted to usurp the authority of God and replace Him on His rightful throne. God cast Satan from Heaven, as well as multitudes that decided to follow Satan. To this day, Satan stands before the throne of God condemning mankind.

Since Christians serve God, and God only, we are indeed monotheistic. We do not regard Satan as being divine, and he certainly does not have power or authority as one who is divine. He is an outcast from Heaven, whose sole job is to deceive mankind and keep them separated from God.

So no, Christians are not polytheistic, we are monotheistic. We serve the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, and Him only.

The Devil, who is Lucifer and/or Satan, was an Angel of highest ranking created by God, who got full of himself with pride and wanted to be equal or higher than God. He rebelled and God cast him out of heaven along with other fallen angels who followed him. Yes, angels also have free will. Satan is the father of all lies and evil because of his pride and greed that he decided to be.

So no, Christianity is not dualistic. There is only ONE GOD, no other equal to him.

No, since the devil was created by God. And no Christian theology recognizes an absolute evil. Satan is"good" in so far as he performs his role in God's plan.

What the theology does not seem to recognize is that God created Satan knowing what he would do, and thus wishes all that has happened.

NO. All things are a part of God and an expression of God's thought. The Mind of God was the force which propelled and perpetuated these thoughts. .The souls of individuals were created for companionship with God (the Whole). (Satan is also a soul) All minds, as thoughts of God, do everything God imagined. Everything that came into being is an aspect of the One Mind.

Christians will claim that the devil is not truly a god, just a really, really powerful demon. I personally think that makes no sense; if god could destroy the devil and rid the world of evil, why on earth wouldn't he?
