Charity is not something you expect to get, it is something that you must be prepared to give love and charity by words and deeds. You get charity (love) if you are ready to give to those who need it. You may start thinking of how you can love others, where you can love others, and so on. The seed of Charity you sow today shall return with many blessings in your life. Sow Charity and you shall reap a great harvest of Charity. Consider and think of great people like Mother Theresa.

There are so many places. You want to find a place with a social worker who can not just give you some help but can also figure out ways to keep you out of trouble, like help in finding a job or a less expensive place to live. I would start with the Salvation Army locally, or you can go to www.guidestar.org and put in your town name and look for charities that help people. You have to register, I think, but it's free. You can also just call the police non-emergency line and they should be able to tell you who helps people where you live.
Good luck!
