It depends on if you have oily hair or not. If it is then you don't want to add more oil or you hair will end up looking dirty. If you have normal or dry hair then you might lack the oil your scalp needs. I would suggest(if you want to use an oil) to go with coconut oil. It's natural and unlike most scalp treatments it is also great for your hair. All you have to do is warm the oil until it melts(coconut oil is solid) Set the jar of coconut oil.leave the lid on it,in a sink of warm water. When it has melted pour it into your palm and work it through your hair. Wrap your head in a towel and let it set for about twenty minutes then wash it out using your normal shampoo. I do this about once a month because not only does it make your scalp happy and healthy it makes your hair soft and very shinny.

Is tuna good for your soul?
Does water only run in the forests of malaysia?

For a dry flaky scalp there is a chemical that helps to keep it flaky and dry...its in head and shoulders and dandruff shampoos...OIL however is a very ambiguous term. Which oil are you referring to? While it is true that some oils contain minerals and vitamens that are indeed good for a dry flaky scalp..NOT all oils are.

I hope i answered your question.

No. While it has good affects when you first do it, yoour skin will react to the oil by getting even dryer and then when you dont use the oil anymore your scalp will be even worse than before. Use head and shoulders.
