ok so theres this guy in my class that i talk to and me and him are kind of friends, but i dont LIKE him. i was in his class last year and he told me he liked me and i said "well i dont like you that way, but your a cool guy" and after that i thought he got over it, because he told me he was over it. but now when i chat with him in class he Blatantly hints that he likes me (like super ridiculously obvious) but he doesnt come right out and say it, so i try to drop hints that i dont like him like that, and he doesnt get it, even tho he gets defensive and is all "oh no, I wasn't asking you what you would like to do on a date because I like you, no, i know this other girl alot like you and was wondering about HER." and no i'm not misreading this guy, he's as see through as pane of glass. so what do i do? i dont want to stop talking to him and give him the cold shoulder, but i also dont want to let him think he has a shot. help?

Well first of all, just so you know there is no such thing as a "guy friend". All of the guys that you consider friends like you or have liked you at some point and if you show interest in them beyond friendship they will jump right on it. You are going to have to tell this guy the truth and cut way back on your interaction with him if you want to have any sort of friendly relations with this guy. If you choose to stay "friends" with him, then he is always going to think he has a shot, so you are going to have to decide if you want to keep dealing with this same problem or just forget him and move on.

U probably will feel stupid if he is over you and are mis reading him- now for the good part, if you establish a friendship with him, than ask yourself "why does he have an interest in me?How will I feel when he finds someone else? Why am I in this situation? If he was honest with you, you should give him a shot since you are friends any how- or just stop all and walk away.You have no obligations to him, but when he finds someone else you are going to want him, or worse "be in his delema". Choose wisely. Let him live, damm.

Recently like a week ago the same thing went on with me. You should go and tell him that you don't want the relationship to end. You should even tell him that you're getting very uncomfortable with this. And wen he gets defensive tell him that i no Ur talking about me.

Tell him you like him as a friend. Like when he starts dropping hints tell him "You know, Bob. Your a good friend" and say "I hope things never change between us." He might get the hint.

Just sit down with him and make him understand that your friendship is only a friendship and that's all it will ever be. Also tell him if he can't accept that, that you won't be his friend anymore.
