Then 10 Commandments was given to us through God within Judaism. These commandments focused on actions.
Jesus came and said that transgressing God's law is even deeper and goes down to the thought level (e.g. lust is adultery of the heart, unjust anger is murder of the heart, fashioning a god that is not real is idolatry of the mind, etc.).
Christianity promotes one to strive to meet the spirit of the law and humbling oneself, thinking of others as better than oneself, serving others, and loving others to their benefit.
This is in contrast with the rest of the world's system where people are self-serving and looking out for their own best - whether others get hurt in the process or not.

Ask yourself what morals were missing 2,000 years ago and what morals are 77% of all people missing right now;
Christianity is a mere 2,000 years old (at best) and right now only represents 33% of all people (you can find these statistics by querying "religion by population").
Based on casual observation of actions performed by leaders in the name of Christianity I would have to say that the morals gifted to the world by Christianity are:
1. Hate is good.
2. Killing is okay as long as those you are killing arent Christian.
3. Anyone not Christian is at best immoral and should either be
converted or punished.
Historically, Christianity has primarily been a tool used by tyrants to motivate the gullible to do the unthinkable.
Mind you, this can also be said for almost any system of ruling.

First of all, atheism is not a religion. We do not worship any being. A religion is a set of beliefs but non-belief does not qualify, in and of itself, as a set of beliefs.
That said, I don't think that Christianity has a monopoly on morals. Morals and how they are played out in society are based on individuals, not on a set of religious beliefs.
Believing in a god and all that it encompasses will help one adhere better to the set of morals with which they've been raised (if they are good ones) but being a Christian doesn't automatically mean that you have good morals or ethics any more than being an atheist automatically means you worship the devil or have horrible morals and ethics.
I've known many Christians with horrible morals and atheists with stunningly wonderful morals... and, of course, vice versa. What I have noticed is those with a good upbringing, close family, raised with rules and consequences generally have good morals and ethics... and those who had unfortunate upbringings and questionable parenting generally have poor morals... all regardless of religious beliefs.
Your mileage may vary.

The Ten Commandments are the original virtues, then law and order in most "Christian" societies were built up from them upwards. Pretty straightforward, and pretty obvious they still stand today, like it or not.
They are:
- Love the Lord your God, no other gods. (Always the first commandment, otherwise all the others won't seem that important. These are HIS laws, after all.)
- Do not take the Lord's name in vain (showing respect for God)
- Keep the Sabbath Day holy (a day of rest and reflection)
- Honour your mother and father
- You shall not kill
- You shall not commit adultery
- You shall not steal
- You shall not bear false witness (deceit) against your neighbour (respect for the truth)
- You shall not covet your neighbour's spouse (because it's the temptation to commit adultery)
- You shall not covet your neighbour's property (because it's the temptation to steal)

"How can Christianity convey us a greater ethical society " yet many do do solid works interior the call of their Lord, no longer all of them defer their household projects to "god" via prayer and do no greater advantageous than look ahead to paradise they do no longer deserve . Many persist with christ whose outlook fosters solid being carried out in his call, whether he replace into fictitious - i care no longer! What i deeply care approximately is high quality entering into this worldwide and individuals do upload high quality to this worldwide interior the call of Jesus that they might by no potential have without being Christians "Why are international places like sweden who've a minority christian inhabitants greater ethical than a rustic like south africa who has a majority christian society?" now that probable via fact those international places have not got as intense an prevalence of the disenfranchisements (that are inherent in all religious dogmas) affecting their inhabitants. they too are solid yet are solid for solid's sake no longer jesus' sake and that provides them greater diverse and efficient scope to their high quality output than adherence to purely a uncomplicated morality ever can ( permit's settle for it the fundamentals is all jesus brings to the table ) what the christians have is a robust way what the scanidnavian international places have is basically a greater efficient, greater inclusive, much less unique, way ..and as you already comprehend what i care approximately is high quality. religious atheist. As a Christian, I'm not entirely certain that we have really offered any new insight into morals. I'm sure we keep certain things in check, especially in regard to sexuality, but I think the more publicly-active Christians have actually played a role in the decline of things like sexual morality because of their abrasive social tendencies, such as beating people over the head with a Bible.
The thing that Christianity offers, though, is a God who loves you enough to purge you of your impurities through Christ. God programmed everyone with sensibilities as to what is right and wrong (just look at Hammurabi's code), but only Christianity has Christ, the pure sacrifice for our imperfections and shortcomings.

As a mulim i would say Christianity did give us good morals. These morals are shared by all Divine religions (Ibrahemic). But unfortunately i would say what morals you have now are not those of christianity but named as Christian morals.
So currently none of the Christian morals stand.
You have lost Christian faith. The first words of Christ were "Inee Abdullah. AAta niayal Kitaba wa jaealane Nabiya"
I am the servant of Allah "God". (not his son) he gave me the revelition and made me a prophet.
All Prophets before and after Ibrahim including Isaac, Ismaiel, Moses, Maseh (Christ), Mohammad and all the others peace be upon them were monothiest. They believed in one God "Allah". but you don't so immediately you confrent the teaching of Christ.
believe me i feel sorry for that but that is a fact.

Christianity basically tells people that whatever they do, it doesn't matter, even if it's really wrong, because they can pray and ask for forgiveness from some diety, it's like the wrong they did didn't happen, so it's turned people into selfish assholes without conscience who do whatever they want to screw other people over and hurt other people during the week, but on Sunday they repent, so it doesn't matter to them. They have a psychological way out of being responsible for their own actions, and a feeling of superiority because of it. It's taken personal integrity, personal responsibility, personal values and actually sticking to them from society.

Here are some straight from the Bible:
1. Rape victims must marry their rapists.
2. Put to death disobedient children.
3. (my personal favorite) Women are subject to men.
I just don't know WHAT this society would be like without those kind of rules to live by!

Without Christianity this country would be full of strife and civil war like the Middle East. Any type of stability or morality in this country is due to Christianity.
