Why should he? He has the best of all worlds. You don't mention your age ... maybe living together isn't the best move. If his actions are showing 'uninterest' he simply does not want to marry you. If he doesn't tell you why maybe his is young, or not a communicator. The difference is, you feel you are ready, and he's decided he is not. It's not unusual for people to live together to find out there is not a future .... This is life. Be a strong woman and build a life for yourself, respect yourself, and others will respect you ... and a good guy, the right guy will come along. Yes, it will hurt, but why be with someone that doesn't have the same dream or goal as you. Good luck.

Maybe he just doesn't think that marriage is very special or interesting. Personally, I'm only having a wedding because it's special to our religious families. I'm happy just living together, but we have commitment and everything else. The wedding is just a party. If he's not commited now, he probably never will be and just likes the conveinence of your rleationship. If he his commited and doesn't care much for the idea of marriage, tell him you want a party.

I haven't been married, so I wouldn't know, but he may be afraid that if something were to happen, he'd be stuck in a relationship. He may think that if either one of you guys were to fall in love with someone else, than the vows would stick and nothing could be done. Or he could just be weird. <3

You really need to ask him. If you want a commited relationship you have to be able to discuss these things. I had this problem before. We broke up. You get to the point where you want more and he wants it to stay the same.

Why should he if he's already getting the benefits without committing? If your boss said to you, "I'll give you your paycheck, but you don't have to come to work if you don't want to."...how many people do you think would actually show up? Not Me!!!

You're basically married now, except for a paper. It changes once you put those rings on, don't know why, it just does.
