Charlie is right -- if you do paint it, make sure to use a strongly adhering primer. Zinser makes some, and Kilz also makes good ones. These primer-sealers stick like crazy to anything, even glass. And other paints stick like crazy to the primers. For paint, I would use an oil-based enamel for best wear.

If its laminate your talking about, then:
Laminate countertops can be repaired and resurfaced at a fraction of the cost of replacement. The cracks and burns are repaired with a special plastic filler, then sanded smooth to fill in any rough or damaged areas. The counter is then sprayed with a special topcoat, which gives the appearance and durability of a new laminate countertop. The process usually takes four to five hours, and your kitchen will be ready to use the next day.

I am a maintenance tech. at an apartment complex, and when a counter top is in bad shape, but not to bad where it needs to be replaced. I use enamel paint. That stuff is really strong. Good for counter tops, bathtubs, and sinks. Some time stoves too, usually the cheaper end ones. But I reccomend enamel paint. Wear a mask when you paint with it, it is really strong.

for a do it yourself, cheap, clean all grease and dirt, use Zinzerrs, water base primer. Then top coat with your choice of colors in a exterior water base enamel. Use of some heat lamps will harden the top coat quicker, so it doesn't scratch as easy. It's also easy to re-touch.
The zinsers I've used in showers and on glass. Last for 20 years in a shower, then repainted just to cover the stains.

I wouldn't advise it...if it is a new product, it may not pass the test of time....I have never heard of it, and any paint that i know of wouldn't stand up to all the water
If I were you I would go to Lowe's or Home Depot and ask a pro...I have painted many things in my life, but never a counter top

i comprehend you're asking approximately portray, yet have you ever considered changing it? i'm assuming the counter tops are laminate, that are continually difficult to paint. to swap laminate is definitely low-priced, oftentimes some hundred money for a medium sized kitchen. in case you go with to circulate forward with portray it, basically confirm you sand incredibly solid, and use a sprayer (rolling and combing will go away grooves). additionally- confirm you seal it!
