Can you get bigger muscles lifting your own weight, my friend says you can't. What do you say?

no not really to build muscle you lift larger amounts of weight with low sets your own bodyweight isn't going to qualify as larger amounts of weight.... ie doing 100 pushups is a TONE'ing method not muscle building. The only bodyweight that builds muscle is widegrip chin ups can build some good lats

i am a personal trainer and i am saying sort of, you can i some like chin lifts but you really need to do proper weights
