yes, if you see the dog go to the bathroom put him/her in the litter right away and don't yell at him let him make a mess point and let him know that is bad and put him in the litter box if /when he goes in the litter tell him good boy and give a treat if it is a mess tell him bad with a tone do not yell if you yell and drag your words out it gets confused use small direct words

Yes, you can litter train any dog as easily as you would train it to go outside. But dogs don't bury their messes like cats do, so a dog litterbox typically smells worse than a cat litterbox. And it's just not practical for a big dog. You train them the same as you would with newspaper or going outside, just direct your training to the litterbox is all. It's a nice option for a small city dog. Or one that's kept inside all day, it won't have to wait till you get home to go potty.

You can train them to use the litter box but don't use it as an excuse to get out of walking the dog. If you don't walk the dog or take it outside, you are going to have on very nasty dog.

I suppose you could. I don't see why you would want to, though. Litter boxes stink, and it's good for dogs (even the little guys) to get outside at least a couple times a day.

Yes, I'm sure that you can....though it might have to be quite a long litter box :)
There are all kinds of tips and tricks for doing this well - perhaps too many and long-winded to type here, but there's a helpful description at this link that should get you started:

The bottom-line is "yes" for all small dogs, if you train them correctly.

I don't know what kind of people you know, but I would think about changing the people you know ,because I don't know anyone who has trained their chihuahuas in litter boxes...lol.

No, but you can choose to paper train it. You can buy special paper with plastic backing to protect your floors. You can basically train a dog to "go" anywhere, but they're not crazy about sand and they'll drag germs all over your house.

I guess you could. You would have to get them really used to it. Dogs are just used to shitting. Cats are born for some reason wanting to bury their **** in something such as kitty litter.
