I would just leave it until you can see the vet. Adding stuff to it can sometimes just make it worse if you don't know what you're doing. The natural medicine in a dog's own tongue is probably the best thing for it.
Is it continually bleeding? If so, apply pressure with a clean piece of gauze until it stops. Make a makeshift bandage out of a patch of gauze and some medical tape.

DO NOT USE PEROXIDE ON IT!!!!!!!! Not only does that hurt like hell, but it kills off the first layer of cells, so it can cause delayed healing. Rubbing alcohol is also bad, it doesn't kill healthy cells like the peroxide does, but it WILL burn like fire. If you can see the meat under the skin, then he'll need stitches right away, which means you'll have to find an emergency vet. Call your regular vet and see if there's a message for what to do in an emergency. If it's not through the skin, you can keep it clean with mild soap and water, DO NOT let him lick it, and use an antibiotic cream, not an ointment. Ointments are oil-based and hard to wash off, Creams are water-based and clean up much easier.

If it is really only a scratch, keep it clean and dry until Monday. Also, try to keep the puppy from biting or licking it, this will make it worse. You may need to buy a special collar from a pet retail store like Pet Smart, or Pet Quarters (any similar store). It will look like a megaphone that you put around the dog's neck. It will keep the puppy from making the injury worse.
If it is worse than a scratch - you may need to seek an emergency veterinary clinic. They are open 24/7. Yes, they cost more, but if this injury is serious, it's worth it.

Ok first of all put on some polysporin because you know for sure it will not sting the dog and keep it from getting infected. ( Not alcohol and peroxide can sting the odd time)
Now check if you have a 24 hr vet in your area if not they do have pet hospitals that are usually open when the vets are not.

Wash the hurt area with Dial soap and warm water.- or other antibiotic soap. Put some peroxide on his hurt place and then some triple anti-biotic ointment. Leave off the alcohol it will burn too badly. If it a bad cut get him to the vet.

if it's bleeding excessively you need to apply pressure but make the 1st layer damp or a tuffa pad so when the bleeding stops it dose not stick to wound other wise it be painful when removed. Take him to the vet in the morning.

if you think it's deep enough to need stiches, get to a emergancy vet, there is surely one open around you somewhere.
Otherwise, clean the wound properly with warm water and antibiotic soap, and apply non medicated (no pain reliver) neosporin or tripple antibiotic ointment, keep it clean and let it heal.

Clean w/ PEROXIDE, and coat generously in an antibacterial ointment. DO NOT let him lick it. if you have gauze wrap it, also go to wal mart and get the medical tape that sticks to itself that way it doesn't pull the babies hair
Go to the vet first thing monday he may need a chlorahexadine rinse
