I watched CNNs " who killed daniel pearl ". I think that religious fanatics take advantage of bad infrastructure and economic crisis' and offer false hope. I wonder if a good economy and a tolerant society arent the perfect atmosphere for us to live a vibrant Christian life ? i dont think any relgious leader should ever hold political office. Just quiet pious and tolerant people should be politicians. What do you think ?

Anastasia,
I do not believe that we should be deporting people for their religious beliefs or vigor. I do believe that our freedoms in this country (USA) are unique. We have a great mixture of cultures, religions, ages, beliefs. This would change dramatically if we begin chasing out people who we do not agree with for one reason or another. I do believe that our politicians seem to have too much power in this country and make laws that you and I must follow but "they do not". This is not right at all. The laws that are passed should apply equally to everyone in our country. I am a Christian but I still feel that every person should have the right in this country to worship as they believe is right as long as they do not infringe on other's rights. Have a great LORD's DAY! Thank you for the opportunity to answer this question.

So I guess it doesn't matter if Russia or China has religious fanatic, huh? I guess since they're overseas it really shouldn't matter who we send there, right? What you deem nutty, some people view as normal. It's all relative. This country was founded on religious freedom. According to you, anyone who falls into your criteria should be done away with. That's very civil of you.
Those people who deem fanatics aren't really religious at all. They're murders & terrorists who are just cloaking their crimes in religion. If they were truly religious, they wouldn't do these things. There is no such thing as a tolerant policitican. All of them are out for #1. That is the true religion in the country. Selfishness.
Your rant sounds very Hitler-esque. You can't get rid of people you don't like for that simple fact. You're not the baraometer of reason. In fact, your whole idea is pretty much along the lines of the fanatics you're complaining about. How ironic.

Fanatics are a problem for everyone, every where. The suicide bombers in the Middle East is one prime example. Another is the attacks on abortion clinics. Hate groups that believe they are Christians while denouncing whoever is another example of fanatics.
One should not judge a group of many from the actions of the few.
Some religions exploit its followers. Again, the Middle East is a prime example. Japan and Germany did this in WW II. But, doesn't the infomercials do the same thing about offering false hope. Do this exercise or take this pill and you get instant results.
To me fanatics are extremists. They are on the wrong end of the spectrum. It doesn't matter which end, just being too far one way or the other doesn't work. Our society needs more balance.

Tolerance betrays faith and reason equally. "Pious" and "tolerant" are mutually exclusive. The 9/11 "fanatics" came from good families, they had money, they had good educations. Unfortunately they also had a religious faith that led them to believe that their afterlife was worth more than the lives of others. Same goes for any fundy who kills an abortion doctor or packs a van full of fertilizer. There are fanatics right here in the USA and they are no less dangerous than fanatics anywhere else, because their beliefs allow them to view other people (nonbelievers) as doomed and unworthy of consideration.

Who determines who the religious fanatics are? I don't think you'd like it if I were the one doing the deporting; the first ones on the boat would be all the christians trying to force their religions onto the rest of us. Demanding that everyone else live the way you do meets my definition of fanaticism.

The human ego noted innovations is continuously insane, some in basic terms carry it to a extra severe than maximum. The habit of followers and extremists is extremely a lot less complicated to perceive as insane than the habit of the final ego noted human. that's an same habit intensified, both are insane. the final believer will negate the different with words, arguments and twisting the actuality even as extremists will in basic terms kill the different. they are doing an same element in basic terms at diverse intensities. both movements have not something to do with the teachings of their faith yet have each little thing to do with their prefer to guard their egos carry on their id as someone "particular, non secular or enlightened". an same takes position with the ego noted scientist or atheist.

A religious fanatic who considers his/her god to be unable to " fight their own battles' so to speak, is really being disloyal to the power of their god.
a TRUE god is able to handle any problem that comes along, including any perceived insults.
Anyone who does this really considers their god to be incapable of action. Thus reducing the 'god' to a ' lesser god.'
The Christian God on the other hand says this;
(Romans 12:19) Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but yield place to the wrath; for it is written: “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says Jehovah.”

Given the number of contradictions and absurdities in the Bible, along with the modern evidence against biblical claims, anyone who still believes that drivel is the definition of "fanatic". Christianity is a menace.

Fanaticism thrives on poverty, ignorance and hopelessness. You're right about who should be political leaders but those kinds of people don' seek power, only the rich and power hungry do and they are the last one's that should be leaders. Its a sick conundrum.
