I regularly pray for the safety of our troops. And while I'm there, I thank God that neither Al Gore nor John Kerry is our commander-in-chief.

Your brother will be one of many 20 year olds in Iraq. Calm down, everything will be alright. Also, for future reference, do not post significant dates and/or names on the internet. It is not safe. Be strong for your brother.
My husband is coming back from Iraq in March and I will tell you it wasn't easy. Just learn to control all of your negative thoughts and you will be fine. I am a huge worrier...the only time I am not worrying is when we are on the phone or I can see his face on webcam!
I will keep him and everyone else over there in my prayers.

My son came back safely from Iraq. You have my prayers as well. I also prayed for you and your family Just for your info. Care packages take about 3-4 weeks to get to our guys, so if you send a box, (I sent one once a week) send it the day he leaves. I also sent candy for the children and small gifts for the other men in his unit. This was really helpful to my son in dealing with the Iraqis day to day. He gave a lot of things to them. God Bless.

finally! someone who is willing to show a bit of religious faith without cursing the war and being juvenile! Yes, good people will pray. I will pray, and pray that he is spiritually saved, not just physically, so that he can help other soldiers. And he will be really safe for real if anything does happen, God forbid.

I will pray for him. He is with the best, most highly trained, most feared unit in the world. It is difficult over there but God protects His own. I was there for 7 mo. in one of the more active areas. I understand both what he and you are going through. You both have my prayers.

We are pray for your brother that he comes home safe and protects the innocent. Marine: No better friend no worse enemy. Help your brother as well by ensuring he prays for the armor of truth and the shield of courage from God and the knowledge of the Holy Spirit in his heart and mind to lead and protect. His age will bely his wisdon through prayer.
For all of the angry dissentionists on this question who denounce prayer; we pray for you. Prayer changed my life from an angry disenfranchised man to one of peace and focus. Prayer helped me through my tours of duty, through time in Iraq as a Contractor and through my wife's tour of duty in Iraq. Prayer is the basis for all religions and peace. God reached out and touched my life when it was at its lowest point. Don't wait for this to happen to you. Your anger and rantings are signs that you are not at peace with yourself.

From someone who knows my nephew has served over there for over a year. He is home now but the worry over him when he was there was almost unbearable. My suggestion to you honey is to put your brother on every prayer line you can find. Pray for him every day and everynight for it is god who answers our prayers. If you have faith in him he will bring your brother home to you. I wish you the best in dealing with this and will put him in my prayers and add another yellow ribbon on my oak tree for him to come home.

Best wishes for your brother. Don't worry - my father fought in Germany, Korea and Vietnam then retired - 3 wars and nothing. Just tell your brother to look at the stars at night and know those are the American flag stars and all American wishes looking down on him and the other soldiers. My Husband was in the military and my son is a Marine in N.C.

I will pray for your brother. I could imagine it must be very hard. When I was 20, I was getting graduated from high school abroad. I'm still abroad but studying. I really support your brother's cause and every troops effort. Maybe if my life had been easier, I'd be fighting too. But my life is very tough I don't wish it on anybody (mentally ill mother). Good luck!
