I am glad you asked this question i have a 3/4 Jack Russell. 1/4 beagle. She is sweet and i hope she lives a long life She has taken a little extra effort on my part but she is well worth it.

They usually live to be 15 years old but many can live for much longer if properly cared for. Also, if your dog is spayed/neutered, they can usually live much longer than an intact JRT can.

i have one that loves killing snakes and rabbits. he is twelve, has one eye and kicks the crap out of my staffies. my mums lived for 16 years before he died of old age.
