A continuing civil war b/w Shia and Sunni and a newly created "safe-haven" for terrorists. We attacked the wrong country...Sadaam was not a nice man, but at least he ran a secular government...and our war against terrorism is really a war against militant Islam...those types did not call Iraq their home...Sadaam would not have tolerated it.
Thanks GW for destabalizing the turbulent middle east even more. It's scary.

Will there even be an Iraq in two years?
If they keep throwing bombs they will eventually kill themselves off and good riddance to the lot of them. They don;t deserve the help they were given to rid themselves of Saddam, if this is the only way they can show their gratitude for being given the opportunity to be out from under a dictatorship.
You have to give it to Saddam though, one man controlled a nation whereas several Battalions cannot . If they had disarmed the nation , disrobed all the clerics and mullahs and sealed the borders hey might of had a chance to stop the infighting.
Now you have the Syrians and the Iranians interfering, so why the hell doesn't the US get out and let them kill each other without sending in more men for bomb practice by these insurgents?

The Land of the Iraqis will be the site, unfortunately, of an on going effect by the natoins of the world to stem the loses of power and destablisation of world power balances.
Its funny to note that most of the Arabian nations are funding the US/coalition efforts in the area to provide security for themselves. For some reason we in the west dont understand the needs of defence - do u prefer to fight a war in your backyard or your enemies?
Controversial idea perhaps but really - oil/energy are secondary freedom is teritary and the primary concern in global power stabilisation.

If we were there in next 2 y, it is hard to predict but the Iraq's government will surely be more mature! If we get out already, it will be a mess of corpses( not only in Baghdad but everywhere like the event of S VN!) Its government will fall for sure without our help!
