Get the water boiling, remove from heat. Gently put the pipe in, put a lid on the pot. Wait a 1/2 or more and scrub it out.

How about, instead of boiling it, you block one end, pour in some rubbing alcohol. Shake it vigorously until the glass seems to clear. You then pour the alcohol onto a porcelain plate. You then wait for the alcohol to evaporate(may take about a 1/2 hour or more)Than, you take a sharp razor blade and scrape off of the plate the residue remaining and smoke it to your heart's content.

I have found that the easiest and safest way to clean a pipe is with nail polish remover. Just put the pipe in a plastic bag and shake it up. Rinse with warm water.

I'm not sure about that, but my ex used oxy-clean and the pipe looked brand new afterwards.

rubbing alcohol works best cleaning out the glass gets the resin out good
try it you'll trip out

becarefull with glass but you can boil it but not for long....use something to bring it out of the boiling water

.If the glass is pyrex, it will not. If it is not pyrex, but thick glass, it should be ok
