What dies? This is a good place to start. The body dies, but where did the body come from? Life had to exist before the body, or else the body could not have come into existence. So there is life before birth of the body. So I am before my body & I am after my body. I am before all and after all bodies. I AM THAT I AM. I don't know if this proves anything, but I gave it a shot.

Wow, wouldn't that be the best Yahoo Answer of all time! I think there is life after death and I'm an atheist! I just don't think it has anything to do with religion. I think that there have been many, perhaps a huge number, of sentient species before us and like we will be doing soon, have merged with their computers and are now everywhere around us in a kind of unseen cyber universe. I never believed any of this until a couple years ago when it became apparent where humanity was heading. In addition, there are too many stories of near death experiences with people going toward a light and when they get there they meet people they have known who have died. I personally experienced a miracle where long standing pain in my feet vanished one Thanksgiving weekend Sunday in church (I go for my wife who isn't an atheist). I really think technology will advance so much in the next 30 years we will become aware of the intelligence around us - the cyber universe.

It is difficult to prove such a thing as life existing after death - I can give you several stories of family members communicating with our deceased dad. I can tell you about how you can recieve messages in the mind and how some mediums like James Van Prague will tell you about the different ways spirits will communicate as for proof - nope sorry no scientific absolute black and white proof. No weighed and measured way of proving to you anything - and if that is enough to convince that there is no life after death then good for you. I however hold the oppinion like hundreds of cultures on this earth that there is life after death - heaven like worlds (not necessarily according to the bible) where people go after they cross over. I believe in spirits communicating with us by the follwing means:
Lights: Many times some people can experience flickering of lights in the room, or new light bulbs burn out instantly. More often than not your lights are effected when a spirit spends a lot of time around you or when they want to get your attention.
T.V: Spirits have been known to effectively scramble pictures on the tv set.
Radios: Many clock radios next to loved ones' bed will turn on at different hours, sometimes it is the hour that has some importance to the person who has passed away. Many times a radio with go on when a particularly significant song is on the air.
Music: many times in their own way spirits are able to impress you with a song or you may think about them when a song is played on the radio.
Clocks: A clock will stop at the exact moment the person has passed over or a clock or watch will stop working for no reason.
Telephones and answering machines: After someone dies it is possible to recieve a phone call and no one is on the other side, or you could hear the voice of the person . in some cases it has been recorded.
Appliances: Appliances have been know to stop or start working at different times when no one is around them.
Other signs are smells or the scent of the person, a favourite perfume, gifts are another sign, a spirit sends gifts and material items but we do not connect that they are from loved ones. Spirits can impress us to buy things or go to shops where things we like are there and we buy them. Animals are also used by the spirit . Many times a spirit being can influence a bird or small animal to come by us to get our attention in some way.
However this is all very subjective and unless you have been open to these experiences then I am afraid the answer for you specifically is no for you there probably is not any life after death - but as I am open to these experiences and dont believe I have any mental health issues or delusions I believe there is life after death. In the end the only proof you and I are really going to get is when we are dead - but if we are our own reality then my reality will be life after death and yours if you don't believe may be nothing. Sorry thats the best answer I have. Thanks for the opportunity of this question.

we live in world where we believe physical sciences which are proven for the statments. As far as physics is concerened there is a law of conservation of energy which says energy can neither can be created nor can be destroyed but can be transformed into other forms. Our life is also a bio energy. So this energy can not disappear once death occures. This bio energy transforms into another form. Hence we can conclude life exist after dath.

Proof? The best proof is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He rose from the dead after being in the tomb for 3 days.
Fairy tale? More than 500 people saw his resurrected body. That's why the resurrection story could not be silenced. There were just too many eyewitnesses.
Have a great day!

Proof only exists in pure mathematics.
There are various phenomena suggestive of the reality of life after death. The most notable is the phenomenon of children with spontaneous past-life recall who are able to provide veridical details about their previous personality which they could not have learned by any but paranormal means. This isn't proof, but on balance, it sways me towards thinking that it's more likely that there is life after death than that there isn't.

Let me rephrase your question if I may.
Is there some part of man that lives on when the body dies?
Answer: Ezek. 18:4 The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.
When we die, our life force goes out of us, we return to the dust where we were made from. Kind of like electricity. When you flip the switch, it lights up your home. When you flip it off, the lights go out. Its a force. Our soul is not a spirit that goes on after life, that is a lie taught by religious leaders today in most churches. When we die, we fall asleep in death. Many examples in the bible of this. Then when God has rid the earth of all those who are like Satan, selfish and proud, when He has ruined those ruining the earth, then there will be a resurrection to life, back on the earth. God's original purpose for creating mankind in the first place, a purpose He never will allow to be altered.

My Dear Friend,
Do you remember how did you get life? If not then how will you find out if their is still another life after death? Everything is energy and never destroy. It is very much proven by science. You need to understand this so you will also find out. It is up to you whether you want to experience it or need proof.
Good Luck!

No, life does not exist after death. Energy of the spirit does. You can prove it to yourself. Just open your mind, heart, body and soul. You'll see it if you can handle it.
