I made an image using a picture of a calla lily and then in-front of it I put a word art, using Microsoft Word. But I want it as an jpeg image to post it on photobucket, and I can't figure out how to do that. What I did was save the file as a Web Page, and then saved the image as an jpeg, but it kind of distorted my image (it looks choppy). So I need to figure out another way of doing it.

One way is to zoom in on the picture in Word so that you can see the whole thing.. then press to copy it to your clipboard.. then open up your graphics program and select EDIT/Paste as new to make a new picture from your captured screen.. you can then export it or save it as .jpg

if you don't have a graphics program that can handle it.. try Serif's PhotoPlus.. you can get version 6 for free (you have to register it to use it.. but registration is free too).. you can find it from a link on my web page.. http://www.tom-olsen.com/links.html

You can simply insert the images into your MS word document if you just want a printout of the scan. However, if you want to retrieve the text from the scan, you will have to rescan the textbook in a different picture format (TIFF) and then perform OCR on it. You can use Microsof Office Document Scanning to do this (Start -> Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Tools). If it is not there, you may have to install it from your MS Office CD. You can also check the software cd that came with your scanner. There should be an OCR software on it. Just scan all the pages again and when you are done, all the text in the document will be recognized (magically) and exported to MS Word. Good Luck.

The easiest way to do this would probably be to take a screenshot of the Word document and then paste it into an image editing program (if you don't have Photoshop, etc., use MS Paint). You can then crop the image as needed and save image as a .jpg. To take the screenshot, display the image on the screen, then hit 'print screen' on your keyboard - this will load the image into your clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere.

One way is to use print screen (Pressing print screen key on your keyboard with your msword open with the required magnification, so that you can get your image with the required size). This will copy the screen as an image to teh clipboard.
Then goto your photo editing software or Paint Brush (which you can find by goint to start>All programs>Accessores>Paint)
and pasting the image. then save it as jpeg or bmp or whatever format you want.

Paste the picture into MS Paint and then save as JPEG. If you want it to be of better quality, try PNG format.
