Probably not, but some breeds (like Greyhounds, Whippets, and Italian Greyhounds) have ears that will stand when they are alert and then fold down when they are calm and relaxed.

If a mutt puppy's ears stand up at 4 months of age, they're going to stay up. But this is a good thing -- dogs that have ears that stand up tend to be way less prone to ear infections as compared to dogs that have droopy ears.

Just because someone claims that she has rottweiler in her doesn't mean she necessarily does (unless you know for a fact that her mother was a purebred rottweiler). She's likely just a mutt that's far removed from any breeds. She might not have any rottweiler at all, so if she goes against something that's the norm for the breed, this shouldn't be alarming. A mutt is really a unique dog, she doesn't have a set of rules to follow -- if her ears stand up, they stand up.

Depends on what she is mixed w/. I do know that in some rotties that as they grow and the head takes on that gorgeous square shape, that the ears are a little lagging in growth, the usually catch up in about a month. But like I said earlier it will also depend on what she is mixed w/.

My German Shepherd had one floppy ear except he used to be almost 8 months! It was once too adorable and your dog sounds lovely as well. It depends on just like the how the muscle mass of their ears are setting up. It is typical for one to be up before the other, and probably it will even keep down. Have fun together with your new adorable bundle of fun!

Likely no, but that's not a complete guarentee. My dog had her right ear up, left each down for several years, then it switched to right ear down left ear up for several more years, then both were up for the rest of her life. It seems incredible, but I have photos - documentary proof - of her ear orientation swap!
