I gag as soon as it hits my tounge, I can't get it anywhere near my throat.
coolers, beer, wine, cocktails are all fine if their weak

It's because you don't like the taste. It's like eating or drinking anything that tastes bad. Evolution has given us the wonderful adaptation to throw up stuff that makes us sick. If we couldn't we probably wouldn't have thrived as a species.
You have to train your taste buds. Gradually make your drinks stronger and learn to like the taste or just accept that you should drink mixed drinks.

Dear HDK,
Some people are more susceptable to gag reflex than others. Apparently some alcoholic beverages that are stronger seem to have this effect on you.
I'm not quite sure what the exact answer will be for you. I can make a few suggestions, but that will be about it.
You said you had no problems drinking wine, watered down beer or wine coolers. I personally think that the only way you're going to be able to get down something stronger is to either mix the alcohol with something sweet, or water it down. Drinking it straight is not working for you. IF you think about it, you're still getting a shot or two of whiskey, vodka or whatever if you mix it, you don't have to drink it straight out of the bottle. You're getting the same amount mixed or straight, it doesn't matter.
I would mix it with something that you like, or water it down. And when you're asked why you're not drinking it straight, tell them straight alcohol bothers your digestion. They'll leave you be.

Nevermind that 'do no longer scent your alcohol' answer. specific wines and liquors have spectacular smells and a few human beings appreciate them in simple terms as lots via fact the flavor. so some distance as gagging...yeah, it is common. it certainly relies upon on what you're ingesting. i'm able to take a shot of uncomplicated vodka without reaction yet as quickly as I attempt a shot of 151 rum....it burns lots and tastes gross that I consistently gag. the way I in many cases take care of that's I even have the shot of alcohol (that makes me gag) in a single hand.....and in the different i'm going to have a pitcher of juice or some type of soda (no longer cola nonetheless ..for me a minimum of).....as quickly as as quickly as I take the shot I rapidly save on with it with the juice....and it soothes the burn and looks after the desirous to gag feeling. i think of a few human beings in simple terms take care of booze in different strategies and it impacts some human beings greater suitable than others. So it is not something to fairly be nervous of if annoying beverages are inflicting a reaction.

I used to - I think it was because I was too thin. when I started gaining wieght it stopped
