Wanting a baby is not wrong at any age. Having one so young though is probably not such a good idea. Wait a few years when you'll be more financially secure and mature. (Not to say you aren't now, but you will probably be more so in a few years.) You'll be a better mother then.

Not wrong but do remind yourself that while that baby is cute and adorable during the daytime or at a lunchdate, you do not see that baby girl at midnight, 1, 2, 3, or 4am and thats what babies do. You need to tend to them 24/7 after they've made their grand entrance and they don't go away. They don't care if you are tired or have a headache or if you've been up for 3 straight days. Take it from me, I had my first baby (single Mom) @ 37 and its HARD!!!!!!! I work full time, back and forth to daycare and virtually no time for me. Be sure that you live and enjoy life before tying yourself down. I absolutely love my baby, he's my world but they are quite a lot of work and expense. Just be informed. Maybe you could babysit for a night, a full overnight. That would give you a taste of what its like.

THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY NOT WRONG
this "feeling" you get whenever you see the baby of your friend, isn't necessarily jealousy, nor greed, but you just may want a baby because of loneliness or just for someone to play with...
wanting a baby is not wrong, because it is more of an act of generosity, because you are giving a human being a chance in the world, a chance to succeed in life and be happy, instead of not living at all...
SO NO, IT IS MOST DEFINITELY NOT WRONG

I think it's natural. I'm getting married soon and I definitely get those feelings every once in a while, but at the same time I know that raising a child is very difficult and expensive and me and my future husband need to get our lives settled before we seriously think about having kids. So I think it's fine to have those feelings, but remember that it takes a lot of work.

Raising a child is very difficult and expensive. Don't even think about having kids until your married and financially stable. I'm a single mom who had a baby at 24. You can never get your youth back. Have fun now, your friend can't.

go explore the world and learn something useful
at 18, you haven't got a clue about anything
and do you want to be another teenage welfare mommy who is a burden to society, with nothing useful to teach your child?
