I've tried every over the counter lip medication such as blistex and aquaphor but nothing works. So i apply chapstick everyday at least 20 times a day. I went to the doctor but she doesn't know what it is. Im tired of having these things on my lips and i cant eat almost anything because it stings my lips. I also have braces and i've had them for a year now. Somebody told me it could be because of that. So anybody know what could it be and how to treat it?

i know you probably don't want to hear this, but it kind of looks like cold sores, or oral herpes HSV 1

you should try abreva, its an over the counter cream i think. If it works, then its probably cold sores, if not then it wouldn't harm you either way

I agree that it might be an allergy. I have psoriasis but did not know it until I was an adult. As a child I suffered from all sorts of rashes and bumps but my mother never took me to the doctor because she just thought I wasn't bathing well enough. When I was around 13-14 I began getting the same thing I see in your pics. My lips were covered in tiny open blisters that oozed clear liquid all day long and then crusted over at night. This only happened in the summer time and after three years went away. I slathered my lips in Vaseline and blotted the ooze with tissue so no one would notice. Once it went away it never reoccurred. That was 21yrs ago and I still have no idea. But as an adult I recognize certain things that cause reactions in my skin. Hair gel makes my scalp scab up and bleed. Red meat makes me break out pimples. Scented deodorant makes my under arms break out in a rash that turns my skin black and flaky. Now that I know what causes a bad reaction for me, I do my best to avoid them. Good luck :)

I have braces too, and I never got those things on my lips. If it was because of braces, it would be on the inside of your mouth, not the outside. Sorry I couldn't help that much, good luck with getting rid of those "things"!

Has your diet changed to include any new foods, vegetables, or fruits? That may be the cause of the...things.
