Sometimes, no matter how much food I give my cat, no matter how fresh it is, he will not eat unless I stand there and watch him. He will turn his head around while he's eating to make sure I'm there and he'll wave his tail in between my legs if he can't look to make sure I haven't left. If I put food out and leave, he'll follow me and whine and whine until I watch him. Why does he do this? Is he just extremely spoiled? Or is it something else?

Cats are finicky animals. My friend has a cat that will not drink water except out of the dripping sink. So my friend has to run the sink once a day to give water to the cat. That bring said your cat...yes is spoiled. He has figured that he can finagle it to where you have to stand there and watch him eat. Cats don't tend to change their ways. Why not feed the cat while you eat dinner and then you can sit and stare at him every once in a while to get him to eat.

Each cat has his/her own unique quirk. My white and orange female cats quirk is to be skittish a little bit and wants in and out of the house all day long. She's in and then 2 seconds later is howling at the door to be let out.

I had lots of cats and they did exactly the same thing all of them, even when i am busy preparing a meal they will come and eat but as soon as i leave the kitchen the will follow me every where. try and feat your cat before you start preparing a meal, that way you don't have to stand and watch him eat and you are both happy.

Be the mommy-master & instruct him to eat & do some finger pointing & some saying no. Your cats extremely codependent ! You need to not allow your cat to act like a codependent two year old which can be harmful to both your lives.

I actually have a male cat, and he acts unusual whilst he would not sense properly. i spotted that somebody stated your cat may well be pregnant. which would be something you ought to evaluate. although, if it relatively is out of the question, i think of your cat may well be sick. whilst my infant feels relatively sick, there are cases whilst he basically accepts moist foodstuff from my hands. I even have at hand feed him. My husband thinks i'm loopy...yet he a minimum of eats. as a results of fact your cat has reduced her intake, that makes me think of she may well be feeling poorly. My cat has a tendency to conceal whilst he's sick. I nevertheless think of it relatively is as a results of fact he's familiar with he would be making a visit to the vet quickly, yet my vet says it relatively is as a results of fact he's frightened approximately "predators." even however maximum indoor cats in all possibility haven't any predators to rigidity approximately, their instincts kick in consistently. it relatively is yet another occasion. relating to tooth, my cat had 9 undesirable tooth and that i had no thought. He sees the vet each and every 4 months, yet we in no way had his tooth checked. we are continually frightened approximately each and every thing else. He had to have all 9 tooth pulled. My vet defined it to me like this: except they end ingesting, how do you already know a cat has dental issues? i assume we don't. And, needless to say, i do no longer. Regardless, i think of you would be able to ought to make a visit to the vet. solid success to the two certainly one of you. EDIT: i became approximately to place up this as quickly as I examine your addendum. If she isn't pregnant, i think of she is sick. you ought to make certain your vet.
