I've met and observed many Turks during my stay in Netherlands, having Turks as the leading ethnic population(i think).

They tend to bond to their own communities, but I m also aware of the cutural segregation between the Turks and their host country, and they are often out-casted as the bad guys, probably results of social problems of ethnic challenges.

The Turkish boys are cute aaaand rarely fail in the "looks" dept, and they are very much ladies-man, but they seem not much the commitment type when they date outside their own race. Their attitude is common with black race. They sweet talk girls on the street and are very direct if they want to take 'it' further!

On the education side, they are not very much social climbers, but they are happy working hard in small family business as Turkish food vendors, fruits and vegetables market.
I've been a student at an International University, and there were very few Turksish students enrolled in the Faculty of Economics.

But it doesn't mean I'm stereotyped of Turks, it is just common observations..

I don't know very many Turkish people, so I have very little upon which to base an opinion. I suppose even if I did, I would simply have to tell you what I thought of various individuals, as I'm sure not all Turkish people are alike any more than all people of any other nationality are alike.

I'm greek.....we have a loooong history with turks and not a nice one...Most greeks are born with hatred in our hearts against our neighbours and so do them.Until 15 years old I used to hate them,as well..However,five years ago I visited Istanbul/Costantinoupoli on an excursion with high school..Turkish people treated us really well. They were friendly and hospitable.Nobody seemed to be annoyed by our presense. All of us returned to Greece with very positive impressions..I'm also glad that efforts are being made from both countries to resolve their differences and forget about past animosity...

One of my former coworkers was Turkish. She was very kind, generous, humble and also brilliant.

I don't like to judge people as a group (I prefer to judge people individually). But since you are asking I would say that Turkish people have high moral standards are friendly and have a close knit community. This I know from my experience with my co-worker and my knowledge of current events.

Best wishes!

I only know one and he is an Orthodox Christian. He is cute, and really nice. He and his family had to get out of Turkey many years ago when the Muslims were killing Christians.
