Seems to be safe. So far so good.. I've been eFiling since it was available. No Problems and fast refunds.

The IRS wants to encourage e-filing since it costs them much less to process the returns by computer than to have to hire a data processor to key in the tax return info into the computer system from the paper returns. Keying in tax return data also is open to human error as the person typing the return info in could transcribe the data wrong.
