I have been in this situation for about 4 weeks and did not know what was going on. I tried a few things and they were shut off, now tonight I was finally told that I need to make things happen for someone else. The chain of events which led me to be able to provide this service to someone I don't know yet (but will be introduced next week) is so long and convoluted that there is no way it is a coincidence. Kind of freaky when there is direct intervention, huh??!

Oh, and before the wackos start, I could have just as easily said Allah, Jehovah, Krishna, or the Great
Spirit.

For some unexplicable reason, I wrote the following poem the other day:

Castles in the sands of the mind
He works on unending
To build up façades
For his own enjoyment
No one else sees them
But they see him
They see his actions
And his obscure patterns
Patterns that mimic
His illusory world
The exciting wasteland
Of a false reality
The tide inevitably swells
Swallowing his work
Confused, he keeps building
He must keep building

Pride, fear, greed, doubt
Lust, jealousy, anger, guilt
They drive him insane
They run him in circles
But he has convinced himself
Of these lies
And the truth is perverted
In favor of convenience
It’s too hard to build on the rock
So his chronic paranoia
Leads him back to the shores
To see if it will work this time
Frantically, psychotically
He builds his latest masterpiece
And three-hundred others to be safe
He must keep building

He must keep building…

Immediately after I finished, I show it to my Buddhist friend over AIM, and it turns out that he was (and still is) struggling deeply over his purpose. This turned into a great opportunity to speak to him regarding finding new purpose in Christianity in spite of the entropy that defines this universe. If you strive for things that are eternal in nature, you are finding true meaning. Everything else will pass away.

I had no idea why I wrote the poem, initially, but it became very clear to me afterward: God wanted me to minister to my friend.

I am not sure if its god or how the world works but I think that the world is this huge training field and our purpose is to help people. Have you ever been in a situation where you think wow this is coincidential but it not really it was meant to happen? The fact God does work his/her magic in strange ways and we are all agents of the lord so I suppose being there to help people is great.

Yes. God even uses people when they don't know that they are being used, but the person who was on the receiving end notices. Kinda cool. Don't let it go to your head. If you were not there, He would find someone else. Remember it is His work and His power, not yours. You are only an empty vessel.

God can and has used just about anybody from every walk of life throughout the centuries.

Yes, I believe I have been used by God to help others...by bringing them a personal word of correction,direction...confirmation
God is good!

Just pray that you continue to discern his will and word to you with clarity.
You are in a blessed place.

Love....

There is no such thing as divine intervention. It is all a coincidence, even if it doesn't appear to be.

Could it be that you are looking to find a meaning behind these things which occurred so that you can feel special or somehow absolve yourself of any responsibility, since you are only doing god's will?

Totally with you. In fact, I thought I was alone in this. Let God use you and direct you in the way He wants you to go.

Remember: Mark 16:17-18 - "And these signs shall follow them that believe..."

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called
according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy paths acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5,6

At this point in my life, I am not sure, if I have served any purpose. I can only hope that he will use me in some way, to glorify him. I have made many mistakes.
