how much is it normally just to get your hair colored in general? im asking because i died my hair black and it keeps staying black even if i die it brown. so its like striped. would they need to do something extra for my hair to come out as a solid color? does it cost extra?

I would call local salons in your area and ask them what they think and get a estimate. Also if you have a cosmetology school in your area they do services for really really cheap because they are in training, but there are always teachers around so they can't screw up without having a fix. color cant make color lighter. u need beach to lift the black out of your hair, especially if it was box color. def. go to a salon and have it done, u could even go to a beauty school. i prob wouldnt bleach ur whole head, have them give u highlights or something, that wont be as damaging to ur hair. it could cost u anywhere from $40-100 depending on where u go

Same thing happened to me once,and I was told to stay away from the {ash} colors, they tend to darken too much .You could do it yourself,but wait a few weeks.It will blend eventually.
