I hope he isn't being physically abusive to them. When I was younger my mom got us a cat, and my dad claimed to hate the cat, he even named her Dummy. But he secretly loved the cat. When he thought no one was looking he would pet her and talk to her. Try to sneak up on him and see if sometimes he likes the cats. He might just be trying to act tough. And even if he doesn't like the cats, as long as he doesn't hurt them it is okay. But if he is physically abusive to them, it is best to find the cats a new home to keep them out of harms way. Good Luck with your kitties, I really hope your husband warms up to them...

My question to you is WHY are you WITH a person who does not like the animal that you had before the marriage. I CERTAINLY would not have ever married a guy who simply could not ever like my animals.
I have cats and dogs and if the person I dated did not like either well then he would have to look elsewhere b/c I am not giving up my pets.
Just think how long is it before he call you stupid...this man has problems. Either reconsider your husband or find a loving home to adopt the cats out to. Do not leave them near a mean man.

Hmm... he's calling the cats stupid... how long before he starts calling YOU stupid? I'm not being flippant - this is a person with anger issues who needs help; I think he should get counseling, especially before you decide to have children with him. Sorry to be so blunt, but that's what I think.

Time to adopt a new husband. People who are mean to animals are more apt to abuse children and spouses. Besides, who would even want to be with someone who is mean to animals?
What are you going to do when one of your cats ends up missing or injured?

For all the cat sniffing moronic females; I doubt any man wants any of your frigid, whining asses. The idea of breaking up a marriage over calling a cat stupid is so ******* laughable, no man with any sense would waste even one second on any of you.

Since when did people who broke up have to handle the ex's problems? I thought EX MEANT NO MORE. You need to stop having any contact with him. Stop hanging on to something that is done and over with. You are creating your own problems now by not letting go and not moving on with your own life. I do hope kids are not in the picture.

Girls out there...beware of men who say they "hate cats", Oprah, or Hilary Clinton (unless they have very valid reasons). In fact I would use this as a "test" before marrying anyone. Those guys are usually control freaks and can frequently be abusive. They DO NOT really like women in general and "secretly" believe that women, animals, and minorities are inferior and to be "owned".

People that are mean to animals most of the time are to other humans as well. People rarely change so either you live with acting this way to your baby's or not be his wife. Think about how he acts around you and think about what happens when your not their. Good Luck
