No, you misunderstand it. The Bible says that only God knows when is the time for Jesus to return, He did not say any specific time. He told about the sings and the signs have been among us since then : )
When you read Revelation you can see that the last days have been here since Jesus raised. Jesus told about the signs that will will shortly take place. And signs have been taking place. : )
Visions are common place in apocalyptic literature. In Biblical visions, God uses multiple visions with different story lines to communicate the same basic idea.
These are scenes in a major play. Each uses various ad differing symbols to tell the same story. Each scene describes the events from the time Jesus established His kingdom until the time He returns. Thus, each vision ends by answering the question: What happens to God's people when the end comes.
I want to be counted as God's people.: )

That is not what the Bible says. In fact Jesus said he did not even know the day or the hour he would return. Your ignorance of scripture is showing.

Yeah, 2000 years ago the Bible said He was coming back. But it didn't say it would happen 2000 years later.

And where does the Bible say this? What verse does it say he will return in 2000 years?

Oh come on now - you know Jesus has returned, and continues to do so. He crosses the Rio Grande about every 15 minutes or so.

ah, but you present a falsehood as truth.
nowhere in the Bible is the date given for the return of Jesus Christ.
nowhere!
The Bible states very clearly that only God the Father knows the date and the time of Jesus Christ's return....
and God isn't telling!
that's what God says, my friend.

He's not coming back. Seriously I pity the Christians, their God left them said he was going to return and he's about 2000 years over due.

read this:
"Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." 2 Peter 3:3-4

That verse is inaccurately translated in many versions. The true translation is "age", which is a much broader term.
