If you mean, Why is it important to be clean while practicing Eviromental Science?

If you are trying to measure changes in an enviroment and you are affecting the enviroment it will become impossible to tell which changes you have caused.

This is a big problem for people investigating the ecosystems in caves. Even the air they exhale can cause a change in the enviroment they are measuring. Dirt can be a huge problem, if you have outside dirt on your knee's or hands, that can also cause contamination.
